Wanted to Buy listings - This section is for buyers who are looking for products that are not listed on MarkeTree. Items that can be included as buyers listings are: Wood Products (including chip & residue, firewood, logs, post & poles, sawn timber and turning blanks); Non-Wood Products (including bark, extractives, flowers, oils and seeds); Standing Forest (both native and plantation); Carbon Credits; and Salinity Credits.
To create a 'Wanted to Buy' listing you are required to be logged in as a Registered User of MarkeTree. Once you have logged in, click in the on the category in the Wanted to Buy menu on the left hand side of the screen that best describe the product you wish to purchase. Once you are in the most appropriate section, click on the 'Add my listing here' link above the first listing in this section. This will open the Add Listing page, where you can now enter the details of your listing. If you need to change the category for your listing click on 'Change Category' then double click on 'Wanted to Buy' cateogries to get to the category most appropriate for your listing. To save the changes to the directory please click the 'Update Category' button.
Now enter the remaining details for your listing in the 'Add Listing' form.
- The Name field will be the heading for your listing
- The Description field is where you enter details of the product/s you are interested in purchasing. You will need to provide sufficient information to attract a seller.
- Closest Town - here you can enter the city you wish to source your product from.
- State - this is a required field if you would like to have your listing shown on the map.
- Region - if you would like your listing shown on the map, please select Locate on Map prior to entering the region you wish to source your product from.
- Phone - please enter your phone numbers here - this will be an additional method of contact for sellers.
- Price - either enter the price you wish to pay for the product you are seeking or add text, for example: from $? per cubic metre or Price Negotiable.
- Submit - when you have finished entering all the data for your listing click on the Submit button.
Please note:
Your listing will be shown as Pending Approval immediately after you submit it. Listings will be reviewed by MarkeTree Administration and added to our directory once they have been approved (generally within one business day).
